Exams required for studying in Canada

Types of Language exams 
IELTS or International English Language Testing System, TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language, and PTE or Pearson Test of English are the standardized language tests you need to take to get admission into Canadian colleges and universities. Although the exams vary in structure, format, and results, most of the colleges often as for any one of the results. You as a student can decide which exam you wish to take.

Both IELTS and TOEFL can be taken an unlimited number of times but if you are giving TOEFL you cannot give it more than once in 12 day period. For PTE however, you have to receive the results of the previous test in order to book the next test. The PTE exam can also be taken unlimited times.
Fees for the language exams 
The standard fee for IELTS is INR 14,000 for each time you are applying. TOEFL and PTE fees are INR 13,630 and 13,300 respectively.
Types of General Exams
GMAT – If you are planning on getting the highest education in the field of business or management, you will have to take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test(GMAT).
GRE – For students applying to graduate schools to pursue MA or MS, the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test is what you need to take. In recent times, even business schools are accepting GRE scores for MBA aspirants.
LSAT – LSAT or Law School Admission Test is a standardized test if you are looking to apply in a law school. Through this exam, universities and colleges measure your reading and verbal reasoning skills.
SAT – This exam is for measuring the literacy and writing skills required by a student for academic success in a college. The Scholastic Assessment Test analyzes a student’s problem-solving skills and is mostly taken by high school students who are willing to take up undergraduate courses.

Fees for the general exams – If you are giving the GMAT, the cost of each exam is INR 18,490. For GRE its INR 15,693, and for LSAT it is INR 4,484.

Cost of studying

The cost of education in Canada depends largely on the universities you are studying in, the courses you are taking, and the city you are living in. On average, the tuition expense comes to around INR 19.65 lakhs per year for an undergraduate program. However, if you are going for postgraduate programs, you will have to pay around INR 11.32 lakhs per year approximately.
